Keto fat bombs are made with a high-fat base like peanut butter, coconut oil, avocado or cream cheese.

These tasty snacks pack a huge amount of energy! Prepare them ahead of time and store them in the fridge as a delicious snack ready to eat.

Now you have delicious chocolate and peanut butter cups to enjoy all week long! Remember to store them in the refrigerator.
Expert advice
I like to use muffin tins because the fat bomb shape reminds me of a traditional peanut butter mould. I invite you to play with the shape! Here are some things to consider:
- Because we make these fat bombs in a 6-muffin pan, they’re BIG! We treat each as 2 servings. The serving size is 1/2 of a regular fat bomb muffin.
- If you have a smaller 9 or 12 cup muffin pan, you can easily make smaller fat bombs that are closer to 1 serving each. Or, if you have a mini tray for 24 muffins, you can make mini fat bombs!
- If you have chocolate molds, you can really get creative with how you want them to look.
- These keto fat bombs should be refrigerated for best flavor and texture. (Please see the Storage Instructions section below for more information.)
Variations
Chocolate and peanut butter is a classic combination. However, there are many ways to create your own recipe if you want to change something!
If you don’t prefer to use peanut butter or are allergic, you can substitute it with another smooth peanut butter, such as almond butter. Just be sure to use a brand that has no added salt or added sugar. It’s a great way to experiment with different flavors.
Another way to get creative with the flavor of these fat bombs is to use an edible flavored oil. The taste of peppermint or orange is just amazing with chocolate ganache. Use 1-2 drops of flavored oil to give your fat bombs a unique spin!
For even more ways to mix, you can use protein powder in your peanut butter mix to add flavor and protein. Or try adding some chopped nuts or chocolate chips for more texture!
There are many ways to play with this recipe and make it your own.
Storage instructions
Since these fat bombs are mainly made of coconut oil and peanut butter, they must be refrigerated.
If you leave them at room temperature for too long, you’ll end up with a puddle of peanut butter and coconut oil. It will be a tasty puddle, but quite messy to eat!
Instead, keep them in the fridge and just grab one when you’re ready to enjoy it.
I recommend storing these easy keto bombs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
Nutrition tips
These delicious keto snacks are naturally gluten-free and dairy-free. Keep these things in mind when creating keto fat bombs:
- Make sure your peanut butter is free of added salt and sugar.
- We prefer to use liquid stevia in this recipe, but you can use any other sweetener without sugar or calories.
- For an extra protein punch, add a good quality protein powder to your peanut butter mix.
